We've all thought of that dream proposal, but for Cassidie her dream became a reality! Not only did her boyfriend call into work for her but he started the day off like all good guys should and brought his his girl a cup of coffee in bed, oh and not to mention he brought a super sweet letter with it!
If that isn't romantic enough, he set up a day trip to Catalina island and rented a sail boat and that's where the magic happened! How could anyone say no to that!?
So tell us how he popped the question!
Dean asked me to marry him on a Sunday and started the day by handing me a letter and my morning cup of coffee. I immediately started crying when I read the letter because his words were so kind and I knew something was up. In the letter, he mentioned that he had already called my boss and I had the following day off. In addition , I only had thirty minutes to get ready before we needed to head out and catch the boat over to Catalina island.
I thought something might be up but continued to convince myself the proposal wasn't going to happen. I did not want to get my hopes up only to be disappointed. It was both of our birthdays the following week so I figured it was just an early birthday surprise.
By the time we got to Catalina I had completely disregarded the thought and was just enjoying the amazing island. At the end of lunch he told me that he had a surprise for that evening. Come to find out he rented a sailboat for a sunset cruise. It was absolutely incredible. At one point I was so distracted by the pod of dolphins and seals (there were literally hundreds of them surrounding our boat) that I was completely taken aback when Dean started in on his proposal speech.
It didn't even really hit me until I saw him get down on two wobbly knees. I couldn't have asked for a better way to start out lives together, everything was truly perfect and I will cherish the memory of that moment forever.
