Fall is here. What a wonderful way to incorporate your decorations for a party. This Pottery Barn inspired engagement party used just the right amount of fall elements and the best part… It wasn't expensive. The greatest thing about the party decor is that it is soft yet masculine at the same time. Perfect for an engagement!
A little background information on this engagement shoot: My best friend's fiance wanted to surprise her with an engagement party. So while the couple was participating in a Mud Run (Yes, they got all muddy and yucky) the groom had family and friends set up a romantic backyard dinner engagement party. She had no idea what was about to happen!
She truly was surprised! She didn't have makeup on or anything! She still looked beautiful and the party turned out to be perfect!
After he popped the question she got look over the balcony and see her beautiful pottery barn inspired engagement party! Soon after she got to celebrate with her closest friends and family!
We made these custom cupcake toppers using Photoshop. They were so simple to make and could be easily re-created. The hardest part with these toppers was cutting them out. Ugh! Worst ever. I am a terrible cutter outter ( I know that isn't a word).
We ran out of containers to put things in so we had to improvise when it came to putting the champagne bottles out. Turned out to be a complete success. Even David Tutera's blog liked our idea of using flower pots as ice buckets.
So if you are looking for a good theme for fall, whether it be for an engagement party, anniversary party, etc. this theme with its warm welcoming colors and touches is a great pick!
